Project Brief
As part of the new website build we were asked to plan a school photography session. We were to create a new portfolio of photographs for the school, which will be used throughout the new website but also used for a variety of other marketing tools should the school need in the near future.

Process
Prior to the shoot we had a discussion with the head teacher to see what was needed from the schools point of view. We also discussed the needs of the website as we were building the site and so had to make sure we had the images we needed for the site.
The school wanted to get images from each year group as well as some new images of the teachers, which hadn’t been done for quite some time.
The process was quick and as non intrusive as possible. We had a list of certain things that were needed and one by one went through everything. At the end, once we had everything we were then able to go back and get some extra shots that we thought could work really well on the website.
We again used our project management system called Basecamp so were always able to keep track of all the elements and create to do lists for the team at Springfield Primary and for our Team.

We always start our photos sessions by discussing what is needed and the style of the shoot.
Drafts & Revisions
As soon as we have all the photos back in the studio then it is time to edit them. We use a variety of software to ensure the photos look the best that they can be. Editing time normally takes a few days and then you get to decide if there are any in particular you would like us to focus on a bit more.
Final Delivery
We always make sure you are happy with the images before we sign off on the project. The images are exported as High Res images and sent via a zipped file. You then have complete ownership of all the images.

We are really pleased with the final images for Springfield Primary School. The school are excited too about seeing how they will sit on the website. We got some really great images of the pupils and the teachers even surprised us with some of their well rehearsed poses. We think together with the website it’s all going to work perfectly and really showcase another side of the school!
